Quick, Easy, Fresh Pizza/Pasta Sauce

My favorite way to do a quick marinara is this:

2 TBS extra-virgin olive oil
2 minced garlic cloves
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oil and garlic in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the garlic is sizzling, about 1 1/2 minutes.  Stir in the tomatoes and simmer until the sauce is thickened, about 15 minutes.  Season with salt and pepper.  Recipe is from America's Test Kitchen.

  1. Yay! This is also my favorite. It does change depending on what brand of tomatoes you use. Sometimes, I can just eat with a spoon I love it so much!!
